Carol Kilby, M.Div., D. Min.

Carol's a shift-disturber and manifester! Founder of the former Gaia Centre for Eco-Spirituality and Sustainable Work, now she's created Gaia Farmhouse Retreat and B&B.

Retired from ministery in the United Church of Canada, Carol's worked in Sharon, Queensville,  Holland Landing, and Pickering as well as  Toronto at Eastminster and Bellefair. In 2005 she completed a Doctor of Ministry at the University of Creation Spirituality in Oakland California. She has hosted and studied with Futurist Barbara Marx Hubbard, Cosmologist Brian Swimme, theologian Matthew Fox, Buddhist Abbess Khenmo Drolma, Mohawk elder Diane Longboat and more at Gaia Centre. It's been an evolutionary journey.

Ask her what time it is and she'd probably say:"it's an axial time. We're longing and ready to incarnate the powers of Universe, the Christ dimension, and global spiritual Wisdom like never before. There is a new Consciousness that is dancing  those in, out, and on the fringe of religion, to the edge of love, non-duality, and a resilient future."

Come Fall In Love, this is Carol's invitation to a Gaia-glorious meal. Her reverence for Earth's compassion embodied in the local and seasonal foods she prepares can be tasted with every bite. Folks particualarly like her 'food' stories and always leave with a recipe or two. Carol not only enjoys welcoming them and making them feel at home, she's inspired by the people who find their way to the Gaia Farmhouse.

Paul Irwin, M.Div.

Paul's  a 'basker'! Gardening, cutting logs for the woodstove, always atuned to the Great-give-away of Sun's rays and power he can go from 40 k/hr to basking in a nano-second.

Paul retired from ministry in the United Church of Canada in 2005. He'd served congregations in Scarborough, Brooklin, and Courtice Ontario. Now he's an organic gardener annually filling his cold cellar with squash, potatoes, wine and more. A valued member of Haliburton's Community Care and SIRCH volunteer teams,  he was awarded a June Calwood award in 2012 for his hospice work.  Oh, and he loves music. In five years he's rediscovered  his childhood violin and learned the trombone. If you can't find him at home he's probably at the Haliburton Concert Band or performing with the celtic quintet , Simply Befiddled.

Anyone for a hike?  Are you up for a walk? Summer or winter Paul can lead you around the lake and over the hills. With a deep affinity for the four-legged and winged ones, a stroll with Paul usually involves a breath-taking engagement with the Earth community.

And he's still evolving.  Coming home to the land, to the story of evolution, the new science, evolutionary spirituality and to a new language to describe life, he's still growing!!
